The third album’s the best of the lot. Awesome. Lyrics that read like the work of a nutter, but sung with enough conviction for me to believe every word.

A work of understated genius. Take no notice of those who dismiss Dexy’s after album one or two. All three are meisterworks to be treasured and savoured. Also ignore idiots who think that ‘Eileen’ or anything off of ‘Too Rye Aye’ is rubbish because it gets played at weddings. ‘How far can a band fall’? What a buffoon!
