whould it be hard, stupid or anything to throw a turbo in a 2007 toyota tacoma x-runner with 36000 miles?

You may want to consider a TRD supercharger for it. They are a fairly straight forward bolt on accessory.

I have one on my 04 Tacoma and love it. With the headers and high flow exhaust I’m putting out over 300 horsepower. No turbo lag and plenty of power from idle up. I have it set to run 7.5 pounds of boost max but I live at high altitude (7500 feet), you might want to run a lower boost if you live closer to sea level.

not at all. all you need to do is make room for the turbo. ive seen turbo on those trucks. my friend has turbo on his and it honestly shreds.

the question really is, what are you going to be doing with the truck? If your’e racing it, i would say just slapping on a turbo and pushing high rpms all the time you’re gonna have a blown motor within a month or 2, if your’e doing it at 7 lbs of boost to get some extra ponies to ride around town and not push your’e truck too much wont be too bad, but think about this, what a turbo is doing is introducing more air into your motor thus creating a need for more fuel. so if you don’t want to run too lean and blow your motor you would have to get bugger injectors, a fuel pump that delivers more fuel and more than likely a fuel regulator along with this because your’e not gonna want your motor to seize, and also your’e going to want to lower the compression by putting on a thicker headgasket, which would mean taking apart your motor (but this is depending on what your compression already is), but anyways theres way too many variables here and need more detail into what your’e going to be doing
