How do you move a wooden storage building that’s built on 4 X 4 runners to another town?

It’s 12′ X 20′ I want to move it about 5 miles all on divided highway so I’ll actually have 2 full lanes to work with if I have an escort to clear traffic. Can do late at nite or early before traffic

just call a flat bed tow truck. might be about $50.00

if its not too high, a car carrier type tow truck, if not, a low bed. Call a trucking co.

Our trailer park owner does it all the time, he puts the larger storeage buildings on a flatbed and takes it up the highway. Later at night or very early morning might give you less traffic and could help.

winch it on a flatbed trailer and do it during the day. It is illegal to have a wide or oversize load after sunset or before dawn

Flatbed is the way to go– shouldn’t have to worry about much in the way if you go at night.

rent a fork lift and pick it up., and set it on a flat bed trailer
a tag a long hooked to a pick-up should be big enough.
make sure you have a car before you ,with flashers on and a car behind you to watch in case it shifts on the trailer..
late at night is better no fast traffic..

You’ll need a license or legal certificate from your county or city, they’ll tell you when to move it and if YOU can move it or if you need a professional.

Use a trailer. I would not go at night unless you have lots of help.

hire a car hauler the type thats a diesel engine in front the one with a winch and jack the building up and tilt it with wood blocks on the end and then wrap a strapping clamp on the sides and attach to the winch and then as the tilted bed backs up the winch pulls the building and about twenty relatives and friends push along to help the winch and then the man slowly tilts the bed down ask around for a company that wrecks trucks about the same weight my pickup was about 4885lbs make sure the sheds cleaned out

Different states have different highway rules. Check on it. We called a wrecker to move ours for us.
