Why is it the fastest track in the world at the Vancouver Olympics?

Posted by admin on February 14th, 2010 and filed under runner world | 4 Comments »

One athlete has just been killed in the trials on the slide slope.
And in China the Bird’s Nest has the fastest running track in the world. The Jamaican runner one hands down and beat the world record in no time flat.
What does the fastest track mean?

It means that compared to other tracks around the world Whistler is the track that athletes can get the fastest speed on (all of the tracks have different designs)

It means fastest runs for luge, skeleton and bobsleigh. It is in Whistler because the FIL choose to design a fast track and this one is even faster than they’d expected it to be by about 23km/h. They are now working on slowing it down.
