What were the mile times of world class runners in eighth grade???

I ran a 5:08 today in track, and this was the first track meet…I am hoping for a 4:50 by the end of track…I’m in eighth grade…and was wondering was times world class runners were running at my age…??

1600m (mile) or 1500m?

    Idk the answer to ur question, but my team has a 4:40 freshman
    Anything under 5 before or during freshman year is amazing.

    thats pretty good, idk the world class 8th grade but the world record is 3:45
