what is a good way to keep a runner rug in place on a tile floor?

They make that stuff you put in your drawer or on shelves that is rubbery. It comes in different size rolls most stores have it by the shelf paper things.
Just cut it to size and put it under the rug and when it gets dusty just wash it off in the tub. Their is also a product designed for this but it is stuck on and has to be trim-ed to go around the edges and is sticky and you can’t cut sticky things. So good luck and Merry Christmas.

You can get some rubber matting with an adhesive back at most stores. Works great.

Velco stitch one side to the back of the rug and use an adhesive (or double sided tape) on the tile side.
