One half rockumentary and on half sitcom, The Dark Desert is loosely based on singer-songwriter, poet, entertainer, artist, Shawn Mafia and his struggle between working at the local funeral home and chasing after musical success as well as his poetic muse. Filmed from the dark recess of the Mojave Desert (Joshua Tree, Pioneertown, Yucca Valley, 29 Palms, etc.) the Dark Desert is a campy and creepy crawl through the barren desert waste land. One man’s solitary attempt to make sense of the darkness lurking within and around us all. Eposiode one features Shawn Mafia, Baby Doll and local rock icon Ted Quinn.
