Holy cow! I suggest special order from a rug store. I don’t believe they make alot of those. Maybe Hollywood will let you borrow the red carpet. You must live in a mansion.

Many major carpet retail stores sell runners in various styles, sizes, and colors. Most you can purchase by the foot. Hope this helps.

Well you won’t find that at Lowes, you will have to go to a specialty carpet store for something that big.

You need to pick out a carpet that has that runner look i.e oriental. Then pay the store to have it bound on all four sides and made into a runner. They may be able to put a backing on it for you that will keep it from moving.
If you don’t want it to be as formal looking as an oriental type runner, then you can just pick out a berber type carpet and do the same thing.

You can go to any large surface home hardware store and buy runners by the foot. The rolls are more than 40 feet long, which is what you’re looking for. You can also buy them online:

So the four feet wide part is sorta a problem. Most hardware stores (and for sure Lowes, has hallway runner on a big roll. You can get it as long as you want. But it’s more like 36 inchs wide, not 48 sorry to say.
So if you can go a bit less wide actually you could go a lot of places and just tell them you want 25 feet worth.

Home depot and Menards and several other stores have it on a roll and you just buy it by the foot. I live in a mobile home 70 feet long and had to do our hallway. Got a carpet remnant for 20 bucks. So check for remnants at carpet places too.
