can i cut the runners off the strawberry plants and make new plants?

i would like to take the runners off the strawberry plants and put them in cold storage for a few months then plant them, would that work?
or do i have to keep the runners attached to the mother plant while planted?

Don’t cut them off because they are still relying the the mother plant. Place a pot of compost in another pot,peg down or hold down with a stone and when the runner is self sufficient,cut the tie from the mother………….

Why do runners take their shoes off on the awards podium?

At the state track meet. I noticed that the distance runners would take off their shoes when they received their awards. I know there is a meaning behind it, but I can’t remember what it is.

I must agree with luckyduc.
Cleats. When I was on the college track team runners has screw in cleats. Different ones for different surfaces. Dirt, grass and synthetic. They were not worn on hard surfaces, especially the short plastic spikes for grass. That would damage the tips. And it would be a courtesy not to dig pits in the dais.

X-Runner or Nissan Frontier KingCab LE?

Both about the same Price, just that the X-Runner is Manual; &well i would need 2 learn how 2 drive manual. Toyota is better made, but The Frontier is Sexy. SugaShit, help me Decide pls:)

Depends what you need it for. For work and real use, get the KingCab. For a sporty truck that will hug corners like a corvette, get the X-Runner. Their suspension is probably the best sport truck suspension out there, and as for the manual thing, I guarantee once you learn (not that difficult) you’ll love it and never want another automatic vehicle. But it really all comes down to what you want it for. Are you a farm boy or a street racer? Pick your style. Personally though, I would go with the X-Runner.

How would you finish a stair carpet at the top of the stairs if its onto a wooden floor?

We are sanding the floorboards of our loft bedroom but thinking of putting carpet/runner on the stairs but I cant think how you would finish the carpet at the top of the stairs. Does anyone have advice or preferably images as I I am not sure how it would look. There is a door at the bottom of the stairs so stairs are in the room.

Most hard wood will have a over hang . Most often there is a pc called a stair nosing. If there is an overhang of the flooring, the carpet is cut flush to the bottom of the overhang. If there is no overhang and the wood is flush, all you can do is turn and tack the carpet either flush with the wood or hold it down just a bit so the edges don t get worn from foot traffic going up and down the stairs.
One other way is to finish and stain the last riser ( or all of them) and stop the carpet on the stair tread where it meets the riser..

Toyota tacoma x-runner question?

I have a 2006 toyota tacoma x-runner. It has a vvt-i engine in it…from the research that i have done you can only use 91 octane gasoline in this vehicle? Is this true? Can i use regular gasoline with this engine? Or am i getting my facts wrong? Would i be able to use 89 octane instead of 91? Where i live it cost me 3.35 per gallon for 91 octane…is it possible to maybe mix both 91 and 87 together?

Any information/suggestions will be appreciated.

I’ve got a 2008 and I run Premium in it only because you get less knocking. It’s entirely possible to use 89 and get away with it as long as you don’t get on the gas very often.

The octane level in the Gas dictates how quickly the Gas burns. Higher Octane slower burn which means it’s less likely to combust under high compression.

Don’t even worry about mixing it. It’s harder to raise the Octane the higher it goes, you would actually be getting like 87.5 instead of getting 90. Waste of money.

Also Octane has ZERO effect on Gas Mileage. That’s a complete myth.

Just use 87 and be gentle with it and you’ll be fine.

at weddings there are white crashes. A crash is a long carpet runner. Ask at a place that sells wedding gowns, does wedding services (like a wedding chapel or even a church, ask the secretary there), or at a place that rents tuxedoes. If they have white crashes probably they can order for you a red crash as well.

What’s going to happen to the runner ups of x-factor now?

Well, Matt clearly won and now he released his first album.
But I was wondering, what’s going to happen to Rebecca, One Direction and Cher? Are they just going to go back to their old lives, or would it be really easy to find a career for them now?
Also, will One Direction stay as a band or split up now?

Firstly they’ll go on xfactor tour, but the better singers will still get recording contracts and One Direction will probably stay as a band as they just want fame and money.
