The gilera runner is an incredible bike without question and has a lot of options to upgrade. Both bikes are very well built and powerful and the liquid cooled engines are a must. I personally find the speedfight more attractive and There are great options to upgrade. Peugeot makes great bikes and has a longstanding reputation and the technology in the engine gets the absolute most out of the 50cc’s. The gilera has a better price tag, so if money’s an issue be sure to factor that in, your saving could go to nice upgrades.
Overall you’re not going to notice much difference in the bikes capabilities, so get something with a style you like.
Also check out the Derbi GPR 50 for something even more impressive.

Both the gilera and peugeot are good peds. My bro had a gilera though and parts were hard to get hold of. When I first started looking for a ped I were looking at Peugeot speedfight’s but I started looking at Aprilia SR50 Di-tech and i think that they are a better ped, it is better looking and 1 of the fastest ped out when it is unrestricted. I own an Aprilia SR50 Di-tech 2004 model brought it for £450 with a few usual scuffs but i haven’t had no problems with it up to yet.
