Louis zamperini. Hope I spelled that right.
He had a really troubled childhood but channeled it all into running and broke the record for the fastest lap while running the Olympic mile

I’m looking to get a subscription to a runners/running magazine for someone who is just starting to be a competitive runner (training for about 1 year and doing 5 & 10 k’s, half marathons) and I have no idea which to choose. Two that come to mind are Runners world and Running Times. I’m looking for the most well rounded magazine for all things running. Any thoughts from anyone out there?

Pre-race warm-up clothes can be taken off and put in the bag right before you check it…keeping you warm up to the last minute! You can change into them right after the race. If you plan to wear "throwaway clothes" that you’ll ditch early in the race, pack a change of clothes in your bag for afterward. Whether it’s warm or cold, changing out of wet running clothes after a long race will help keep you from getting chilled, especially if you have a long walk back to your hotel or your car.
No im not skinny but Im not fat either, I have muscle on my legs and im 5ft6" and weight 145 lbs, yes, own the butt and tits and all, and I do run long distnce rather well, but why is it that im faster than others in my grade? Thanks!

Hi.I think the main reason why some people are faster then others is because the faster people just practice more at being fast.

So what would be the best kind of whey protein or muscle milk to drink or make?

The best protein is found in foods with a lot of carbohydrates, like pasta and such. For morning workouts get G2 the power drink. never get gatorade or powerade because they have a lot of sugar and G2 has close to none! the electorlites help keep your energy moving.

or do i have to keep the runners attached to the mother plant while planted?

Don’t cut them off because they are still relying the the mother plant. Place a pot of compost in another pot,peg down or hold down with a stone and when the runner is self sufficient, cut the tie from the mother………….

I must agree with luckyduc.
Cleats. When I was on the college track team runners has screw in cleats. Different ones for different surfaces. Dirt, grass and synthetic. They were not worn on hard surfaces, especially the short plastic spikes for grass. That would damage the tips. And it would be a courtesy not to dig pits in the dais.

Although I already tried running in the cold, just after sunrise, I hate running at 9am onwards in SoCal. How can other runners do it? Do they put sunscreen or pretend not to feel the heat?

Hi.I am from California too (Nor Cal). During the summer time it can reach easily 90 degrees outside and even 80′s. I don’t let it bother me. I do wear sun screen yes. I also carry a water bottle with me so after I am done running I can drink some water to cool down. Sometimes I just take a sip of water while running. There’s this pouch thing I wear that goes around my shoulder that holds the water bottle in. Another thing that keeps me going is music! Of course I feel the heat, but I try to block it out.
