Idea’s for project on the book, "The Kite Runner"?

For my AP English class, I have to design a magazine cover, (yes, only the cover) for the book we chose to read off the list. I picked the Kite Runner. It was good. NOW, I have to pick one event from the story, and make it on the cover of a REAL magazine (i.e. Time, Reader’s Digest, Seventeen, etc). So, the example she gave us was "The War is Afghanistan" on Time Magazine. Any creative ideas? I was thinking of just doing the kite running competition but what magazine? Open to all suggestions.

How about Sports Illustrated and feature competitive Kite Flying. A picture of a kite with the map of Afghanistan on it with a barbed wire tale and maybe a bullet hole. The articles inside can be veiled references to the book. His father’s home, war affects kite flying, good garage sale purchases of kites, etc.

Can you help me arrange the title for the bibliography?

New Magazine name ideas?

Im creating a magazine for my A level course work and need to think of a name for it? its going to be a running magazine were runners and athletes all across the UK will get to write the articles them self’s and send in photos and race reports and son on, so its a magazine made by the runners for the runners, i though something on the lines of "your running" but doesn’t sound that good, any other ideas?

I listen to bands like august burns red, mychildren mybride, all that remains, slipknot, as I lay dying, destroy the runner, atreyu, bands like that if that helps

Metal Hammer is one of the best metal magazines and one of my personal favorites, Decibel is really good too. This link has more info about the top metal magazines, you can read thru it and see what makes each one unique and decide which one you would like the best.

Am I gonna have to pay for magazine subscription?

I saw a free trial runner’s world magazine offer, so i signed up. however.. I also checked the tab for a 12 issues 1-year subscription…. I put in my address and name,but no Credit card information at all. I checked "bill me later" but i dont actually want to pay for that. I want the free stuff and no charges. it said ur bill will be like 27.95….. Am I gonna get charged for THIS?!?! i really hope not.

normally with the free trials you can write cancel on the bill and owe nothing. Just be sure to send back the bill or call the number and cancel. After you do that you may get another issue before the subscription updates and cancels but if you get a third issue call or e-mail the customer service. Save the e-mails that you send and are sent to you or get the name of the person you talk to in case there are issuses.
