what is a good way to keep a runner rug in place on a tile floor?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under runner rugs | 8 Comments »

They make that stuff you put in your drawer or on shelves that is rubbery. It comes in different size rolls most stores have it by the shelf paper things.
Just cut it to size and put it under the rug and when it gets dusty just wash it off in the tub. Their is also a product designed for this but it is stuck on and has to be trim-ed to go around the edges and is sticky and you can’t cut sticky things. So good luck and Merry Christmas.

who is the fastest runner in the world and how fast can this person run?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under runner world | 2 Comments »

thought of this earlier today.. anyone got any ideas?

The gold standard for determing the "world’s fastest man" is the men’s 100m dash. Michael Johnson ran the 200 and 400.

The world record holder in the men’s 100m dash is Jamaica’s Asafa Powell, who ran the 100 in 9.74 seconds on 9 September, 2007, at the IAAF Rieti Grand Prix in Rieti, Italy.

what size portable generator do i need for a 2005 road runner travel trailer?

It depends entirely on what you plan to operate. A microwave oven will require at least 1000 watts, light bulbs according to individual ratings.
Check my generator page for other ideas and links to help you decide on the size you require.

Can the Toyota Tacoma X-Runner be an Automatic?

I’ve been to the dealer, looked around the truck. Its beautiful. BUT Im not that great at driving a manual. I mean I can do it if I absolutely had to but Id rather not. So Im asking does it come in automatic? I would’ve asked a Salesperson but it was like 2200 when I went. =)

i would think they would .

What type of carpet should I look at for a stair runner to go in our front hall?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under stair runner | 3 Comments »

, Stair runners are highly trafficked, so you should be looking for a construction and design that won’t show obvious wear patterns. I suggest a commercial quality low level loop, or a high quality cut pile with a subtle design that picks up the colours of both floors it leads to and from. A pattern will hide the tracks in the center of your stairs that will show over time. You can use a pattern on stairs as it is a circulation area that won’t be "fighting" with other upholstery patterns etc.in living areas.
Do some research in upscale hotels in your city, and you will find carpeting in hallways and stair applications that do wonderfully in a residential setting. Then go to your carpet retailer and ask to see similar commercial quality products. You will be surprised to find the prices comparable to residential carpets.
I have a 3 storey home and have carpeted the stairs and landings on all floors with a carpet I used in a hotel design in my city and I love it. It’s 9 years old and shows no wear and tear. So think "commercial" and "patterned" and tie in the colours you have in both floors. Good luck with your project.

How to lay a carpet runner?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under carpet runner | 5 Comments »

Can nayone give me direction on how-to and what I will need to get the job done?
It is a permanent runner for my hallway stairs.

when laying runners on stairs you need to center the rug all the way down,if in one piece, and you need an electric staple gun(I use a bostich) to shoot the staples under the lip and at the front of the stairs………..
its not hard but experience defiantly helps……….

How much would great runners like Kenenisa Bekele get paid if they lived in America?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under runners | 1 Comment »

Kenenisa Bekele, Haile Gebreselassie and many other Ethiopian and Kenyan Runners are the top runners in the world. They own the record for over 5-10 events and win cross country championships 5 years in a row (I looked it up). What if these elite athletes lwere born here in the USA. Would they be famous? Would many people love to watch the sport of running more? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time?

They would be famous…..but really only to those who care about running or watch running events. They probably be like a average baseball player….if you care about the sport, sure you’d recognize them while out. If not you wouldn’t even know they were famous. Don’t know if it would draw much more interest in people watching the sport…..it’s just not a thing spectators like to watch.
