Should I run track at a d-2 or d-3 school? Can i Transfer and play been at junior college since fall 2005-09?

I have sat out about 3 semesters unable to pay and goofed off as well.I am 5’9 170 i run the 400m in about 47.5 Comming out of highschool. My time has now decrease since i have not ranned or trained constantly. I run it now in a 52.0. N i can do much better still getting in shape again. I have Just started training the begining of this year. I also run the 200m in 20.5. Should i Continue or let it go. I have not had a competition in over 2 years. I feel like it is what i am suppose to do but dont want to chase a gone dream. Please rerply a concerned and serious runner.

I’d suggest that you go to the NCAA website for info. You can look up what the times are for the national champions in the different divisions and compare your time. Or you can go to the websites of schools you’re interested in and see what the athletes there are running.

Whether you’d be eligible to participate would depend on how much eligibility you’ve already used at CC. You only get four years total. If you haven’t been running for two years, you’d probably need to do a lot of work to get back in shape. That’s a good place to start. Is there a running club in your area which you could join to begin training again?

Good luck to you.
