Paul Pirie – Scottish Comedian of the Year runner up 2006

Paul Pirie began his Stand-up career in April 2004 after giving up acting to pursue the funny man that lies within. (It should be pointed out that at the time he was living with his Gran, having given away his flat in a pub quiz).

Paul quickly established himself on the Scottish circuit, and had successful runs during both the Edinburgh Fringe and Glasgow Comedy Festival from 2004 with sell out shows; Scotland 4 Australia 1 in 2005, Four Men and A Little Lady in 2006, and his sell out solo show, I Pirie the Fool, in 2007.

Paul joined esteemed comedy-improv group Dance Monkey Boy, Dance! in August 2005 and performs with them at The Stand, Glasgow every Monday. The show is currently in development with the BBC and they are in pursuit of bigger and better things!

As well as performing for the Stand on a regular basis, Paul can be seen gigging up and down the country.
