general population seems to think that 2009 will be the same as 2008 and that the redesign will be the 2010 model

available in the fall of 2009.

well i can tell u that they aren't redesigning the 4runner for awhile. they have a 2008 "platinum" version which is a bargain. toyota is excellent in reliabiltiy but if u want comfort and room i would go for a nissan pathfinder v6 which has all the power u need and u can achieve 16 to 17 average and close to 21 on the highway, the 4runner is a body on fram so it is alot more stiffer and less comfortable. i would buy a 4runner but the pathfinder is just as good with more comfort. the landcruiser is big and bulky and expensive no matter what year try looking at the toyota seqioua if u like alot of room and decent v8 gas mileage.
