Soo… i guess the next 4-runner to come out will be the 2009 right? I assume they are redesigning it, like they have theTundra and the Sequoia, but they are being very secretive about it… like no one can guess it will have the Same front-end as teh Sequoia, and will be bulkier and sleeker. My question is if anyone knows when they are launching, and how much we can expect to pay for it and gas. I’m in the process of car shopping and have always been a Toyota fan, and now with a baby, i need more room. I want to wait to see the 4-runner, but i’m also looking at a Pathfinder and a 2005 Landcruiser. So, I guess it comes down to $$$ and gas ( i know i’ll be guzzling, but I need the space). Anyone know anything?

well i can tell u that they aren’t redesigning the 4runner for awhile. they have a 2008 "platinum" version which is a bargain. toyota is excellent in reliabiltiy but if u want comfort and room i would go for a nissan pathfinder v6 which has all the power u need and u can achieve 16 to 17 average and close to 21 on the highway, the 4runner is a body on fram so it is alot more stiffer and less comfortable. i would buy a 4runner but the pathfinder is just as good with more comfort. the landcruiser is big and bulky and expensive no matter what year try looking at the toyota seqioua if u like alot of room and decent v8 gas mileage.

general population seems to think that 2009 will be the same as 2008 and that the redesign will be the 2010 model
available in the fall of 2009.
