Hey there runners! WOW! It's been a while now hasnt it?! There are SEVERAL things to mention, but so little space! Sorry about the lack of updates around here! First, tomorrow, Monday October 22 is the LAST DAY to sign up for the Jingle Bell Run on the Club Running team. We need 4 more people to make a team, so please sign up today or tomorrow! Our team name is MU Club Running. Go to http://www.jbrmilwaukee.kintera.org to register. The race is November 11 at the Milwaukee County Zoo and the cost is $25. You get a sweet t-shirt with our team name on the back and lots of other goodies.
A quick shout out to those who ran Parkside! We had some great performances! Just look at Laura Jordan with a time of 20:36 and
Brent Young with a time of 28:14. WOW!
Full results of the women's race can be found at http://www.uwp.edu/athletics/boxscore.cfm?gameID=1705
Full results of the men's race can be found at http://www.uwp.edu/athletics/boxscore.cfm?gameID=1714
Running Club also corcked open a vintage bottle of Polish/Chorizo whoop ass at Grape Stomp a few weeks ago.
Chris Owen: 18:26 (9th overall and 2nd in division)
Tim Seeman: 18:33 (10th overall and 3rd in division)
Leif DeVaney: 19:06 (14th overall and 2nd in division)
Steve Mozug: 19:22 (17th overall and 4th in division)
Casey Lembke: 19:57 (29th overall and 7th in division)
Megan Osgood: 20:22 (3rd woman and 1st in division)
Chrissy Scherman 21:30 (7th woman and 1st in division)
If we had been a team, we would have come in 1st with a time of 1:35:24. Even using our 5 "slowest" runners, we still would have come in first. Northwestern Mutual's go nothing on us.
And did someone run a marathon?! You better believe it! Congratulations to all those runners who completed those 26.2 miles!
That actually reminds me of a story...Last year I entered the New York City Marathon. The race started and immediately I was the last of the runners. It was embarrassing. The guy who was in front of me, second to last, was making fun of me. He said, "Hey buddy, how does it feel to be last?" I replied: "Do you want to know?" and I dropped out.
Actually, that never really happend to me. But, let me ask everyone, how do crazy runners go through the forest? (afterall, we're not crazy, you're just lazy!)
A. They take the psycho path!
Well, that just about covers everything! Again, sorry about the WELL OVERDUE updates! Hope everyone had an incredible fall break! Group Runs resume this Monday! See you all soon!

CONGRATULATIONS to all of our runners who ran Al's Run on Saturday! We had a lot of runners set PRs, and the team didn't do half bad either.
I'd like to recognize our top 5 runners, who brought home a THIRD PLACE team finish for our club....
Eric Biederwolf: 30:53
Tim Seeman: 31:20
Leif Devaney:31:56
Ryan Chapman: 32:39
Casey Lembke: 32:48
And our "elite" women runners deserve some recognition as well!
Megan Osgood: 33:19
Aubrie Hartnell: 33:48
Laura Jordan: 34:44
Chrissy Scherman: 35:00
Thank you everyone for participating. I know for many of you Al's was your first race or you're longest race, so I hope you had a good experience and will keep racing!
